We are delighted to welcome Dan Faichney to the Red Rock Music tutors team from November 2024.
Dan is a versatile and accomplished musician, blending his talents as a guitar-based singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of experience. Known for his passionate and creative approach, Dan’s journey in music has been anything but conventional—largely self-taught, he’s developed his own distinct style and perspective, which brings a unique edge to his teaching.
Currently completing a PhD in film music, Dan combines academic insight with real-world experience. He leads the project Holy Snakes, which he fronts as both a solo artist and bandleader, bringing original compositions to life both in the studio and on stage. His performance history includes renowned festivals like T in the Park and Doune the Rabbit Hole, from Arbroath to Finland, Latvia, and Estonia.
Dan is an engaging and supportive tutor, dedicated to helping others grow their musical skills. With a strong focus on guitar, he’s excited to share his wealth of knowledge, creative insights, and enthusiasm for music with students of all levels, helping them find their unique voice and confidence on their own musical journeys.
